Dolores E. Hoff

Dolores E. Hoff, Moorhead, MN, formerly Eau Claire, WI died November 14, 2016 at Eventide Nursing Home in Moorhead.
She was born to Walter and Dagny Lendobeja on February 4, 1923 in Thief River Falls, MN where she was raised and attended school. After graduation in 1941, she moved and worked in California, then to Ohio, returning to Thief River Falls in 1945. She married Donald W. Hoff of Fargo, ND in 1946 in a garden ceremony at the home farm outside of Thief River Falls in Smiley Township. During their marriage, they lived in Fargo, Grand Forks and McVille, ND and LaCrosse and Eau Claire, WI. She lived in Eau Claire from 1969 until 2013 when she moved to Dilworth, MN to be closer to family. In 2015, she moved to Eventide.
Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends for holidays, garage parties or any other events. She took great pride in keeping her home, yard and flower gardens immaculate. The wonderful aromas coming from her kitchen were enjoyed by all who came to visit. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire for many years serving on various committees.
She is survived by a son, Steven WallyAnn Hoff of Wasilla, Alaska, daughter Nancy Hoff of Osakis, MN, son Michael Cheryl Hoff of Moorhead, MN, daughter Cindy Laverne Barnhardt of Melrose, WI, four grandchildren Chris Milissa Hoff, Brian Lacy Havenar Hoff, Jacob Barnhardt, and Jacalyn Barnhardt and four great grandchildren Coleman Hoff, Madilyn Hoff, Taryn Havenar, and Liam Barnhardt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant son, her parents and a brother.
The Memorial Service will be on Friday, November 18, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN. Friends may gather for one hour prior to the service.
The Graveside service will be on Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 1:00 P.M. in the Bethany Lutheran Church Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
