Donald A. Larson

Donald A. Larson, 75, of Moorhead, MN, died Friday, April 14, 2017, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. Don was born April 5, 1942, to Joe and Lou Nieman Larson in Fargo, ND. He grew up and attended school in Moorhead, graduating in 1960. Following high school, Don drove truck for REA Express, worked for the City of Moorhead, and later drove for Transport Inc until an accident forced him to retire. Don later attended Moorhead Technical College where he earned diplomas in accounting and marketing.

Don enjoyed staying active and social. He loved playing cards and bowling. He was also very handy, could fix nearly anything mechanical, and spent time woodworking when he had the chance. Coin-collecting was a lifetime hobby of Don’s, as was listening to music. His favorite genre was early rock-n-roll, but he loved country music as well. Don also enjoyed spending time in Florida during the winter months, but had moved back to Moorhead in recent years to spend time and be closer to family. He will be dearly missed.

Don was preceded in death by his wife, Judith; his parents, Joe and Lou Larson; and sister, Darlene Olson.

He is survived by his sons, Mike Lynn Larson of Fargo, ND, Jeff Deb Larson of Carver, MN; grandchildren, Drew, Samantha and Zachary; and sister, Renee Larry Bexell of Park Rapids, MN.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 6, from 12 – 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
