Donald George Olmstead, an only child, was born May 12, 1931 in Fargo, ND to George and Gene Olmstead. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Fargo, ND.

Don always found someone to visit with no matter where he was. His buddies at the Moorhead McDonald’s were a special group.
