Donald “Don” Gill

Donald “Don” Gill, age 63, of Dilworth, MN passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at his home.

Donald Wayne Gill was born on November 15, 1956 to James and Helen (Stoddart) Gill in Felton, MN. Don grew up on his family farm and graduated from Glyndon-Felton High School. He then attended MSU as a music major and later NDSU where he studied agronomy. He quit college to work on the family farm, but later graduated from Interstate Business College with a degree in computer programming.  Most of his working career was spent at Dacotah Paper where he worked for 25 years until his retirement.

Don loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing and looked forward to his annual week at the lake.

Don is survived by his parents; wife of 18 years, Lori Gill; daughter, Jennifer (Jordan) Wear; son, Michael Gill; stepsons, Matt and Justin; grandchildren, Celeste, Bentley, and Hendrix Wear; brother, Robert “Bob” (Linda) Gill; sister, Kathy (Dan) Sebby; and many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 2:00 P.M., with a visitation starting one hour before, at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead. Masks are required. Burial will take place at the Felton Cemetery at a later date.
