Donald Lawrence Holm

Donald Lawrence Holm, 92, of Lake Park, MN, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 in St. Mary’s Essentia Hospital in Detroit Lakes, MN. Donald was born on October 5, 1925 in Grand Forks, ND to Lawrence and Ollie (Claver) Holm.

Donald graduated from Reynolds High School and worked as a farmer near Glyndon, MN. He was drafted into the Army for two years. After his time in the service, Donald moved back to Glyndon. He was married to Arlene Kuehl on November 10, 1957 in Moorhead, MN. They bought a farm near Lake Park in 1957 where they farmed until Donald’s retirement. After retirement, Donald worked for Area Farmers for many years. Donald and Arlene spent their winters in their second home in Mesa, AZ. In 2014, they moved to Lake Park, MN where they enjoyed their remaining years.

Donald is survived by his wife, Arlene; children, Rick Holm and Barb (Mark) Malmberg; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris (Nolan) Underlee; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Ollie; daughter-in-law, Connie Holm.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 11:00AM with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery in Moorhead, MN following the services in Lake Park.
