Donna J. Cossette

Donna Cossette, 83, Fargo, ND, died on Sunday, October 11, 2015, in Sanford Health Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.
Donna Mahar Cossette was born on September 23, 1932 in Fargo, ND, to Raymond and Delia Davenport Mahar. Donna graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1950. She married Andrew Cossette on November 15, 1950 in St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Wild Rice, ND. They made their home in Fargo, ND, where she raised their five children, Douglas, Diane, David, Darlene and Danelle.
Donna loved being with her children every day that went by and was a mother hen to her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
Donna loved to do crafts and painted many pictures in her spare time. She also volunteered at Nativity Church, MeritCare Hospital, and ManorCare nursing home where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a Befriender.
She is survived by her husband Andy, Fargo, ND; sons Douglas Jan Cossette, Fargo, ND, and David Cossette, Fargo, ND; daughters Diane Jim Gibb, Fargo, ND, Darlene Denis Oye, Fargo, ND, and Danelle Joel McMaster, Aberdeen, SD; brother David Kay Mahar, Hickson, ND; sister Dorothy Floyd Storsved, Moorhead, MN; nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation: Friday, October 16, 2015, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, October 17, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. in Nativity Catholic Church, Fargo, ND.
Interment: St. Benedict’s Catholic Cemetery, Wild Rice, ND.
