Donna J. Quiggle

Donna J. Quiggle, 85, Moorhead, MN, died on Thursday, September 14, 2017, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Donna was born on December 9, 1931, in Devils Lake, ND. She grew up and attended school at Harlow and Leeds, ND. At the age of 15, she went to Portland, OR, where she attended high school before returning and working as a nurse’s aide for two and half years. She moved to Fargo, ND, and went to work at the Powers Hotel Restaurant as a hostess and waitress.
Donna married Floyd Quiggle on May 28th, 1953, at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo and they made their home in Moorhead. Donna stayed at home to raise the six children that came in the span of ten years and then went back to work. She worked for American Crystal Sugar for one campaign, as a seamstress for Artic Cat for six and half years, was an administrative assistant at Queen of Peace Retreat Center for eleven years and then went to work in Home Health.
Donna had been a member of Christian Mothers, and was involved with Marriage Encounter, Cursillo, TEC, and Engaged Encounter. She was also a eucharistic minister to the homebound, helped with the fall dinner, funerals and even pulled a weed or two.
She loved her family and her church.
Donna is survived by her children, Gail Quiggle, Albuquerque, NM, Gary Quiggle, Moorhead, MN, Mark Bernadette Quiggle, West Fargo, ND, Steven Pamella Quiggle, Fargo, ND, Elizabeth Quiggle, Moorhead, MN, Dan Quiggle, Fargo, ND; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister JoAnn Haupt, Mankato, MN; brothers Sidney Buchta, McKenzie Bridge, OR, and Sigurd Buchta, Hillsboro, OR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Quiggle, on October 20, 2006, as well as her brother Jay Buchta.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Francis de Sales Catholic church for the Meditation Garden.
Visitation: Tuesday, September 19, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Funeral Mass: Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at 11:00 A.M., with visitation one hour before the service in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Interment: St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
