Donna Mae Keith

Donna Mae (Paulson) Keith passed away on  December 4 , 2017 in Fargo, ND after a brief illness. She was 88.

Donna was born July 16, 1929 in Moose Lake, MN to Leonard and Hazel (Mathison) Paulson. As a teenager, she was waiting tables at an FFA banquet and switched tables to wait on Donald Keith’s table because she thought he looked like Kirk Douglas. Don gave her a ride home after the banquet, and their courtship continued until they were married on July 9, 1948.  They lived in Braham, MN for many years, later settling in Crookston, MN. Together they raised seven children.

During their time in Crookston, they discovered square and round dancing. Their love of dance was matched by their grace on the dance floor, and it soon became their primary leisure activity.  After Don’s death, Donna was able to find another dance partner who met her high standards, and she and Ron Dutcher spent many years together, on and off the dance floor.

Donna was a good cook and a talented seamstress. She greatly enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She will be fondly remembered for her love of family, her faith, and her contagious fits of giggles.

She is survived by her partner, Ron; her children Todd (Deb) Keith of Woodbury, MN; Tim (Jackie) Keith of Chadron, NE; Kris (Dennis) Vosgerau of Fargo, ND; Brett (Mary) Keith of Litchfield Park, AZ; Jennifer (John) Butze of Glyndon, MN; and Heather (Gene Kath) Keith of Longmont, CO.  Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Don, her siblings Lorna (Ernest) Olson and Bruce (Jan) Paulson, and her daughter, Brenda (Joe) Cruz Keith.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service.

Ashes will be interred at Oakdale Cemetery in Crookston, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation.
