Doris A. Aune

Doris A. Aune, 85, of Moorhead, MN, died Tues. Feb. 10, 2015 in Eventide Senior Living, Moorhead.

Doris Agnes Bakken was born on June 24, 1929, in Wyndmere, ND, to Ole and Carolyn Knutson Bakken. The family moved to Glyndon, MN, where she graduated from Glyndon High School. On June 28, 1951 Doris married Clifford Aune in Hawley, MN. They moved to rural Hawley, where Clifford farmed and Doris was a homemaker who raised their three children. In 1992 Clifford died and Doris moved to Moorhead.

Doris enjoyed reading and she especially loved spending time with family and visiting at family reunions. Most of all, Doris was a caring mother to her children, with a loving heart to everyone she knew.

Doris is survived by her sons, Kevin Aune, Moorhead and Rick Donna Aune, Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Sherri Aune, West Fargo; two grandsons, Dylan and Jason Aune; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Peter, Victor, Bert, Adolph and Sam; sisters, Olga, Selma, Bertha, Enga, Alice; and an infant sibling.
Visitation: Mon., Feb. 16, from 5 – 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.

Funeral: Tues, Feb. 17 at 1:00 p.m. in Lysne Lutheran Church, Hawley.

Interment: Lysne Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hawley.
