Dorothy E. Shaw

Dorothy E. Shaw, 76, of Fargo, ND, died April 3, 2017, at Rosewood on Broadway in Fargo.
Dorothy Elaine Shaw was born May 2, 1940, in Sugarbush Township, MN, to Fred and Mary Morrison Shaw. The family lived in Fargo, ND until Dorothy was 7 years old. Dorothy then entered Grafton State School where she would later graduate. Dorothy worked in daycare at the Grafton State School. She moved back to Fargo in 1984 where she worked at DWAC. She then moved to Detroit Lakes and worked for DAC. She later returned to Fargo and in 2010 she retired and moved to Rosewood on Broadway.
Dorothy loved music and she was known as “the magazine lady of 2nd floor” while at Rosewood. She also wanted everything tidy and in its place. Dorothy especially loved her family and she also enjoyed animals. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Allen Knopf and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters “Biola”, Marie and Lillian, and brothers, Fritz, Dick and Jackie.
A funeral service will be held Monday, April 10, 2017, at 11:00 A.M., at Lake Park Lutheran Church, Lake Park, MN. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Interment will be at a later date at Lakeside Cemetery in Richwood, MN.
