Dorothy Morken

Dorothy Morken, 85, of Fargo, died Thursday, March 16, 2006, at Bethany Homes in Fargo, ND. Dorothy nee Wittliff was born on April 4, 1920 in Enderlin, North Dakota to Julius and Pauline Bier Wittliff. She grew up and attended school in Fargo. She married Robert Morken on February 18, 1943 in San Diego, CA, where Robert was stationed during World War II. They lived in San Diego until the end of the war, they then returned to Moorhead where they made their home. Robert died January 9, 1999. She is survived by one sister, Abelona Carlson, Cook, MN; one sister-in-law, Irene Hogstad, Modesto, CA; one brother-in-law, Roy Svee, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Robert; four brothers, Lawrence, Walter, Edmund, and Raymond Wittliff; and two sisters, Elsie Scharbow and Meta Svee.
