Douglas Allen Lammers

Douglas Allen Lammers, 66, of Glyndon, MN, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Doug was born on April 8, 1952 to Donald and Barbara (Gess) Lammers in Moorhead, MN.

Doug was united in marriage to Coty Lenerville on June 21, 1975 in Bismarck, ND. He worked at Fargo Glass and Paint for over 20 years and at Dakota Plate and Glass for several years after as a glass and mirror installer. He then worked part time at various stores in the Fargo-Moorhead area until his retirement in 2017.

Doug enjoyed deer hunting and gun collecting. He followed in his father’s footsteps and played Sabin Fastpitch for over 25 years as a pitcher and first basemen. Doug also played drums for the band he and his brother, Keith, had created as a hobby. That hobby eventually turned into a full-time band playing by the name ‘Spectrum’.

Doug is survived by his wife, Coty; son, Bryan (Kaitlin) Lammers; grandson, Zayden; siblings, Donald Keith Lammers, Lavonne (Tim) Tuck, Kimberly (Robert) Nerby, Denice (Barry) Johnson, and Teresa (Mark) Buth; 13 nieces and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Barbara.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 11:00AM with a visitation one-hour prior at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN. Burial will be following the service at Elmwood Cemetery in Sabin, MN.
