Douglas Scott Sandal

Douglas Scott Sandal, 35, of Lake Park, MN, died June 15, 2018, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo.

Douglas was born August 26, 1982, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Leonard and Ruby (Green) Sandal.  He grew up in rural Lake Park, attended elementary school in Hawley, MN and graduated from high school in Ulen, MN.  Over the years he enjoyed his time spent at the Becker County DAC.

Douglas enjoyed watching any kind of outdoor activities, especially farming. When he was younger, he loved to go for rides on the tractor. He loved being active and watching his siblings fight and wrestle with each other.  He also enjoyed being around animals and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a joy to his mom and also to his immediate family.

He is survived by his mother, Ruby, of Lake Park, MN; his siblings and their children, Eric and Ivette Iliana Sandal (Jonathan), of Hitterdal, MN, and Susan and Michael Syvertson (Cole and Isabella), of Lake Park, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Pearl Sandal and Oscar and Fern Green; his father; siblings, Lori and Adam; uncle, Oscar Green Jr. and aunt, Carol Luthi.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., at Walworth Baptist Church, Ulen, MN. Interment will be at Hawley Cemetery.
