Duane R. Gravalin

Duane R. Gravalin, 82, formerly of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Bethany on University, Fargo, ND.

Duane Roger Gravalin was born on April 8, 1939 in Moorhead, MN, to Viles and Lydia (Meyer) Gravalin. He grew up in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1957. Following high school, he enlisted in the Air National Guard where he served for six years and flew with the Happy Hooligans.

While working at a local dry cleaner, he met Mary Frances Cox and they were married in February of 1967. They later divorced.

Duane worked as a florist in various shops in the Fargo/Moorhead area before opening his own shop, Dilworth Floral, in Dilworth, MN. He always had a passion for airplanes and rarely missed a local airshow. Duane was an accomplished bowler and horseshoe player and enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

He is survived by his daughter, Tasha (Tony) Hartze. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Theodore Gravalin.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
