Duane S. Pearson

Duane S. Pearson, age 50 of Moorhead, MN, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND. Duane was born January 9, 1958 to Floyd and Evelyn Stinar Pearson in Mountain Lake, MN. He grew up and attended school in Windom, graduating in 1976. Following high school he attended 4 years at the University of North Dakota and graduated in 1981 with a degree in Business Management. On July 4, 1981, he married LeAnn Arness in Windom, MN. Together they moved to Moorhead and started a family. Duane had been the purchasing manager at MeritCare since 1983. He had many friends through MeritCare. He took great pride in being of service to his associates and the entire MeritCare Health System. He had a very strong work ethic and one of life's biggest challenges was to relax and play. He was a prankster and a joker and he cherished the relationships that fostered his playful nature. He enjoyed all the small things that kept his home running. He loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed.Duane is survived by his wife of 26 years, LeAnn; sons, Tyler and Alex; brother, David Elaine of Moorhead; sisters, Dianne Larry Willett of Mankato, MN, and Dorothy Jenkins of Wayzata, MN; father and mother-in-law, Duane Marilyn Arness of Mentor, MN; brothers-in-law, Richard Amy Arness and Darold Jenkins; sister-in-law, Allison Peter Kurth; and 11 nieces and nephews. He also leaves his special friend Chandler.He was preceded in death by his parents.
