DuWayne E. Danielson

DuWayne E. Danielson, 81 of Glyndon, MN passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in his home surrounded by family.

DuWayne Earl Danielson was born April 11, 1943, to Elvin and Violet (Snook) Danielson and attended school in Barnesville, MN. Following high school, DuWayne worked for Ness Trucking Company and later for Knight Printing, in Fargo. He also spent time driving truck for the Fargo Forum delivering bulk papers to various drop off locations and worked at the Fairmont Creamery for a long time.

On October 6, 1963, DuWayne married Jean Setter at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Moorhead.

DuWayne enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and taking trips to the casino. He stayed busy in the fall cutting and splitting wood to stock up for the winter months. Every summer he and the family would take off for a couple weeks in the motorhome and travel the U.S. camping in different places. He made many wonderful memories with his family and especially his grandchildren.

DuWayne is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean; daughter-in-law, Donna Danielson; grandson, Tylor Danielson; and sisters, Linda Berg, Kathleen Berg, Betty Sorenson, Anna Fischer, and Sandra Bolgrean.

He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Tracey Smith, Steven Danielson, and an infant daughter; granddaughter, Kimberly Danielson; brothers, Donald, Daniel, David, Keith, and sister, Diane Pfeifer.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM with a visitation one hour before the service at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Dilworth, MN followed by burial at Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN and luncheon at the Glyndon Community Center.
