Edna A. Ohnstad

Edna A. Ohnstad, 91, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.Edna Angeline was born to Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Anne Omberg Jegtvig of Hawley, MN on November 8, 1914. She was raised in rural Hawley with a lively close knit family with a wonderful sense of humor which she kept all her life through the hardest times.She was educated in Minnesota, taking up nursing when she had her children. She married Orvin Tudy Ohnstad in 1939. She lived and worked in Moorhead, Alexandria, and Detroit Lakes, MN, Fargo, ND, Glendale, AZ and Seattle, WA. She owned and leased several restaurants and taverns in Minnesota.Edna is survived by three daughters, Barbara Don Duval, Fargo, ND, Carole Chris Richardson, Lake Havasu City, AZ, and Geraldine Ed Masseth, Litchfield Park, AZ; three grandsons, Wayne Duval, Hickson, ND, Jay Duval, Mandan, ND, and Steven Curtis Ohnstad Stanton, CA, one great-granddaughter, Jessika Duval, Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Marjorie Ogden Ramstad, Hawley, MN; one brother, Roger Ardella Jegtvig, Moorhead, MN.She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvin Curtis Ohnstad in 1958; one son, Curtis Orvin Ohnstad in 1991; three brothers and four sisters, Harry Jegtvig, Hawley, MN, Gladys Kronbeck, Hawley, MN, Jewel Tangen, Hawley, MN, Alden Jegtvig, Glyndon, MN, Kenneth Jegtvig, Hawley, MN, Ruth Treon Redmond, OR, and Verna Barker, Moorhead, MN.
