Edna M. Annis

Edna Mae was born on December 23, 1911, in Hazen, ND to Otto and Alice Clark Sanger. At age 13, she moved to Moorhead, MN where she attended school. On June 25, 1932, she married Charles Annis. They moved to Glyndon, MN where they raised their family and owned and operated a vegetable market and greenhouse for 48 years. During that time, Edna worked as a bookkeeper at the Fargo Labor Union for 9 years. She enjoyed being involved with her church, Glyndon UCC. She was also a visitor for Lutheran Social Services. Edna is survived by four sons, Leo Joann, Fargo, ND, Myron Odilia Hammer, Glyndon, MN, Paul Kathy, Phoenix, AZ, Merlin Mary Jane, Glyndon, MN; sister, Margery Davis; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her parents, son, David, daughter, Joyce, 2 sisters, 7 brothers, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
