Edward W. Anderson

Edward Willis Anderson, 86 of West Fargo, ND died January 23, 2017 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. He was a man of strong faith and those of us left behind find comfort in knowing he is with his Lord and Saviour.

Edward was born June 2, 1930 in International Falls, MN to Edd and Minerva Campbell Anderson. Edward and Evelyn Pederson Anderson were married August 30, 1950 and had 5 children. They had been married 46 years when Evelyn passed away in 1996. They lived in Lake Park, MN, Kenosha, WI, Thief River Falls, MN, and Hitterdal, MN.

Edward married Norma Rambow Anderson on May 1, 1997 in Fargo, ND.

Edward farmed for several years. In the early 1960s, he went into construction with his father. Later, he worked with each of his sons. During a break from construction, he spent a few years driving the country as an over-the-road trucker. Edward continued to go to the office every day, meeting with customers and getting estimates ready. He was always a perfectionist at work.

Flying was a great love of Edward’s and he held a private pilot’s license. He looked forward to deer hunting up North every year with his sons and grandsons. He enjoyed fishing.

Edward’s favorite meal of the day was breakfast and he and his son Allen went out for it together every morning. He loved doing that and his bacon, eggs, and toast.

He loved seeing his grandchildren and had a strong love and concern for each of them.

Edward is survived by his wife, Norma; his children Ronnie Marsha Anderson, JoAnn Nelson, Bonnie Dan Jacobson, Curtis Anderson, and Allen Kathy Anderson; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; and his brothers Leslie Betty Anderson and James Anderson and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all.

Prayer service: Thursday, January 26 from 5-7 pm at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN

Funeral: Friday, January 27 at 12 pm at Walworth Baptist Church in Ulen, MN. Visitation one hour prior.

Interment: Walworth Baptist Church Cemetery
