Edwin Schock, 77, Moorhead, MN, died on Monday, November 10, 2014.
Edwin was born on March 19, 1937, in Tuttle, ND, to Fred and Caroline Krien Schock. He grew up and attended school in Tuttle, ND. He served with the U.S. Armed Forces in Korea. He returned to Fargo where he attended auto body school. Ed married Sharon Lewis on September 28, 1963 in Dilworth, MN. He opened Twin City Auto Body in Fargo which he operated for many years before he sold it and started Valley Sandblast and Paint in Fargo, which he operated until retiring. His wife, Sharon died on October 17, 2008.
Ed loved to watch his grandchildren play hockey and volleyball. He enjoyed gardening and liked going to the lake with his daughter and son-in-law. A very kind man, he was a wonderful father and grandfather.
Ed is survived by his daughter, Sheila James Waclawik, Moorhead; son Rodney Kim Schock, Moorhead; five grandchildren, Joshua Waclawik, Fergus Falls, MN, Matthew Waclawik, Fergus Falls, MN, Jeanna Waclawik, Moorhead, Ryan Schock, Moorhead, Riley Schock, Moorhead; brothers and sisters, Ted Ginnie Schock, Grand Forks, ND, Leonard Karen Schock, Dilworth, MN, Elhard Schock, Steele, ND, Oscar Sue Schock, Hibbing, MN, Roy Donna Schock, Bismarck, ND, Leona Rowe, Montana and Gladys Paul Stramer, Montana.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sharon.
Private services will be held at Wright Funeral Home, with interment in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
