Eileen J. Grund

Eileen June Grund, 76, of Fargo, died Sunday, August 14, 2005, in her home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, surrounded by her loving family.Eileen June Grund was born in Casselton, ND, on June 22, 1929 to Max and Louise Franke. They moved to Fargo in 1935. She graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1947. Eileen worked at the Fargo Drug Store and later was employed by Service Drug Store for 25 years from 1969-1994, and then Medical Pharmacy until her retirement in 2000. On October 23, 1949 she married Burton P. Grund. They made their home in Fargo. Eileen was a homemaker and mother to six children.She was a life long member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Fargo. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and their families. They were a very special part of her life. She took interest in the Vikings football team and other local sports. Eileen enjoyed playing card games, reading, dancing and listening to Daniel O'Donnell music. She is survived by two sons, Bob Chris Grund, Boise, ID and Mike Cyndi Grund, Moorhead, MN; four daughters, Bev Dale Carlson, Delta, CO, Linda Roy Gerhart, Havre, MT, Janet Rick Hogfoss, Fargo, ND and Peggy Kevin Swalley, Billings, MT; two brothers, Rev. Lloyd Lucy Franke, Bloomington, MN and Rev. Merle Ginna Franke, Austin, TX; one sister, Myrna Jim Turner, Hackensack, MN; sixteen grandchildren, Marissa Grund, Alayna Grund, Camille Grund, Chad Carlson, Brenda Carlson, Chris Evenson, Michelle Grund, Leslie Grund, Derek Grund, Brandon Grund, Angie Gerhart, Rachel Gerhart, Randy Hogfoss, Scott Hogfoss, Jenny Hogfoss and David Swalley; and three great-grandchildren, Megan, Alli and Eli Gerhart.She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jim Franke; and two sisters, Florence Jendro and Doris Lyseng.
