Elaine M. Johnson

Elaine M. Johnson, 77, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, December 28, 2009, in Innovis Health Systems, Fargo, ND.Elaine Marie Konze was born on October 25, 1932 in Mt. Carmel, ND. She attended a one room school in Mt. Carmel until moving to Langdon, ND at age 15. She worked as a waitress at the local café. She married Harold Johnson on June 21, 1949. They move to Moorhead, MN in 1953. Together they lived in Moorhead until 1972 when they moved to West Fargo. Elaine and Harold divorced in 1979. Later Elaine and George Buchholz had their first date and it lasted for 30 years. Elaine loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. They could stop by at any time and be welcomed. She loved to shop for just about anything at anytime. One of her favorite birthday or Christmas presents was a gift card from Walmart. She and George spend many hours there, later stopping at the VillageInn for supper. Mom was at her happiest when surrounded by George and her kids and grandkids. Her last Christmas Eve was spent surrounded by her loved ones and we thank God that He gave us one last time together in that way before she left us. Elaine is survived by her very special friend and companion, George Buchholz; her beloved nine children, Wayne, Linda Robert Rockwell, Randy Julie Iwerks Johnson, Joleen Jason Ignaszewski, all of Fargo, ND, Connie Richard Plum, Mapleton, ND, January Chad Lundeen Bosch, Argyle, MN, Sheila Jay Stein Johnson, Glyndon, MN, Dale Linda, Loveland, CO, and Jerry Jean, Walcott, ND. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother and six sisters.
