Elaine Millner

Elaine Millner, 74, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Sanford’s Hospice House, Fargo, ND. Elaine was born August 28, 1947, in Bismarck, ND, to Mike and Margaret (Holzer) Kraft. She grew up on the family farm near Strasburg, ND, and graduated from St. Benedict’s High School in 1965. Following high school, Elaine moved to Minneapolis where she worked at Northwestern National Bank. While living in Minneapolis, she met her future husband, Mark Millner. They were married on April 4, 1970, in Strasburg. Together they made their home in Minneapolis. Elaine enjoyed working for Target and retired in 2002 after 16 years. In 2003, they moved to Moorhead where they have resided since. Over the years, Elaine enjoyed playing cards, canning vegetables from their garden, watching football and the Minnesota Wild. She loved staying connected to her family and relatives through their daily emails. She was a loving wife and mother and will be dearly missed.

Elaine is survived by her husband, Mark; sons, Robert and Jason; brother and sisters, Agnes Miller, Jim Kraft, Helen (Keith) Koffler, Alice (Clint) Ryckman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rose (George) Goeser, Alex (Karen) Millner, Gene (Eunice) Millner, Benedicta Benoit, Larry (Peggy) Millner, Mary Mallak, Ray (Joyce) Kotta, Shirley (Mark) Horien; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Margaret; mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Benedicta Kotta; brothers-in-law, John Miller and Marcel Mallak; and sister-in-law, Joanne Hatton.

Visitation will be Friday, October 8, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN.
