Elaine Von Pinnon

After spending a beautiful Mother's Day with her husband, children and grandchildren, Elaine suffered a heart attack and died early Monday, May 10, 2010. She was 70.Mom was completely devoted to her family. She relished every opportunity to be with them. She also loved reading, writing to friends and relatives, listening to all kinds of music, traveling, live theater, laughing, lilacs, cool and cloudy days, Fall colors, American Idol and late nights spent talking with her daughter.Marion Elaine Harris was born August. 3, 1939, in Fargo to Eldon and Eleanor Harris. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1957 and earned an associate's degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1959. She then moved with a friend to Seattle to find work in the business field. It was there she met the love of her life.On November. 24, 1962, Elaine married Phillip John Von Pinnon in Elbow Lake, MN, where her parents then lived and worked. The couple moved to Moorhead and soon started a family. Mom stayed home with the children while Dad worked and attended college. They always put their children's wants and needs ahead of their own.Elaine is survived by her husband Phil; daughter Janelle Bruce Schneekloth, St. Cloud, MN; son Matthew Jennifer Von Pinnon, West Fargo; brothers Rodney Margaret Harris, Fargo, and Keith Harris, Roseville, MN; grandchildren Rajahna, Kavynah, Ava and Lauren; and step-granddaughter Robin Schneekloth.She was preceded in death by her parents.
