Elcera Boschker was born July 11, 1913 at Columbia, SD to Walter and May Lewis. She grew up and attended school in the Ellendale, ND area, she attend college there and received her teaching certificate. After graduating she accepted a job teaching in the Westfield area. She also taught in Holland, Michigan. She married Harry Boschker on December 25, 1940 in Ashley, ND. They lived on a farm near Westfield, where Elcera taught at various schools in the area, Strasburg, Linton, Braddock, Pollock, Hague, but many years were spent teaching at Bullhead & Ft. Yates. She moved into Pollock in 1960 and lived there until 1987, then moved to Fargo, ND, where she made her home near her daughter January. Elcera is survived by her daughter, January and husband Barry Bauer, of Detroit Lakes, MN; son-in-law, Larry Vander Vorste, of Pollock, SD; grandchildren: Lee Vander Vorste & Roxi of Rapid City, SD, Bobby Bauer & Laurie of Horace, ND, Paula Vander Vorste of Linton; great-grandchildren, Mark Vander Vorste & Stacy Vander Vorste, Linton, ND ,Jalyn Bauer & Tate Bauer, Horace, ND, Bo Vander Vorste, Rapid City, SD.She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & May Lewis, her husband Harry, her daughter Wanda Vander Vorste & grandson Lance Vander Vorste.
