Eldora E. Ashmore

Eldora E. Ashmore, age 88, of Moorhead, Minnesota, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, Minnesota.
Eldora Emiline Ashmore was born on July 9, 1925, in Fargo, North Dakota, to the family of Oscar and Sophie Hammer Olson. She graduated from high school in Ulen, Minnesota, and then attended Business College in Fargo, North Dakota.
On November 18, 1945, Eldora was united in marriage to Clinton E. Ashmore. While in Ulen, she worked at Hanson’s Hardware and Pederson’s Grocery. In 1965, they moved to Moorhead, Minnesota, where she was employed at Concordia College and Foss Drug. After retirement she took up her hobby of reflexology. She had many close friends that she loved to have coffee parties for.
Eldora was an active member of both Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ulen and the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Moorhead.
Eldora is survived by her son, Steven Janet, Lake Park, Minnesota; grandchildren, Jennifer Chad Freier, Glyndon, Minnesota, and Kristen Ben Sullivan, Moorhead, Minnesota; great-grandchildren, Alison & Emily Freier and Aedan & Dylan Sullivan; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Harvey Francis Olson; and sister Viola Ordell Asleson.

Visitation: Monday, May 19, 2014, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.
Funeral: Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. in the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
Interment: Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Ulen, MN
