Eleanor R. Miller

Eleanor R. Miller, 89, of Hawley, MN, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Lilac Homes in Dilworth, MN. Eleanor was born November 26, 1933, to Raymond and Emily (Alm) Wamre. She grew up and attended school in Hawley, MN. On October 24, 1953 she married Stanley Miller and they farmed together near Baker, MN, and later bought a farm in Eglon Township near Hawley.

Eleanor loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally, enjoyed camping and traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, and Switzerland with Stanley. She was an active member of Hegland Lutheran Church and was a longtime leader for the Eglon Hawks 4-H Club.

She is survived by sons, Mark (Linda) Miller, Fergus Falls, MN, Thomas (Beth) Miller, Fortine, MT; daughter, Debra (Mark) Kennedy, Oak Hill, VA; grandchildren, Charles (Alison) Kennedy, Emily (Joshua) Kempf, Sarah Kennedy (Ray Hoover), Peter (Tara) Kennedy, Traci (Jacob) Weinreis, Leslie (Lloyd) Weinreis, Joshua Miller and Kaylee Miller; sister, Esther Timm, and brother, Dennis Wamre.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; parents, Raymond and Emily Wamre.

Visitation: Sunday, December 4, from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 5:00 P.M. at Wright Funeral Home in Hawley, MN.

Funeral service: Monday, December 5, at 10:00 A.M. at Hegland Lutheran Church, Hawley, MN.

Interment will be in the church cemetery following the service.
