Eleanor Riley

January 4, 1919 — August 6, 2009

Eleanor was born on January 4, 1919 in Park Rapids, Minnesota, the daughter of William & Blanche Parks. She was raised in Park Rapids and Motley, graduated from Motley High School in Motley, Minnesota. She married Harry Riley in 1935 and they went on to have two children, Kenneth and Sandy. Eleanor was a great homemaker, lovely baker, and enjoyed raising her children. She was active in PTAs and her church. Eleanor and Harry enjoyed traveling to the Seattle area to see their 4 grandchildren 3 months out of the year in their Holiday Rambler.Eleanor moved to Issaquah in 1986 after the passing of Harry to be with her daughter, Sandy Zepper. She loved being near and seeing her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren and even one great-great-grandchild. She continued to be a homemaker, baker, and enjoyed visiting with her many friends. Eleanor had a very great many stories to tell all her neighbors in her sweet little voice. She was well-loved and will be greatly missed. Survivors include son, Kenneth Geri Riley of Fargo, North Dakota; daughter, Sandy Zepper of Issaquah, Washington; granddaughter, Shelly Don Elsey; grandson, Dennis BJ Riley; granddaughter, Kim Earl Anderson; granddaughter, Chris Doug Smith; 7 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; brother, Harold Parks, Silver Bay, MN. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Leonard Parks and Mildred DeMaris.
