Eleen M. Olson

Eleen M. Olson, 86, of Lake Park, MN, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Essentia Health in Fargo, ND. Eleen was born on March 29, 1932, in Moorhead, MN, to Elmer and Ethel (McDonald) Rosman. She grew up south of Lake Park and attended country school and later went to Lake Park, MN, where she graduated from high school. On June 2, 1951, Eleen married Ardean Olson. Together they made their home south of Lake Park where Ardean was self-employed with his own construction company and Eleen was a homemaker and raised 6 children. Later, Eleen enjoyed driving school bus, was a 4H leader for many years, and together they drove over the road truck throughout the United States. She also enjoyed cooking and most of all spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Eleen is survived by her sons, Danny Olson, Dale (Elizabeth) Olson and Darwin Olson; daughter, Diane (Dennis) Ellwanger; daughters-in-law, Peggy Olson and Benita Olson; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Eleanor (Dixi) Jacobs; and brother-in-law, Daryle (Darlene) Olson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ardean; sons, Dean Olson and Dennis Olson; and daughter-in-law, Leslie Olson.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.

Funeral will be Friday, October 12, at 2:00 p.m., at Cormorant Lutheran Church, rural Lake Park, MN.

Interment will be at Cormorant Lutheran Church Cemetery.
