Elizabeth Ann (Hagman) Hagen, 87, of Hawley, MN, formerly of Bemidji, MN, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2019, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Elizabeth was born on March 5, 1932, to Olaf and Panzie (Park) Hagman in Argusville, ND. Elizabeth attended elementary school in Argusville and moved to Fargo to attend Ben Franklin School until the 10th grade. She worked at Delendrecies Department Store in Fargo. She was united in marriage to Clarence Hagen on May 7, 1949 before moving to Guthrie, MN, where they farmed. In 1968, they moved to Bemidji, MN. Clarence passed away on February 5, 1978.  Elizabeth worked at Al’s Dry Cleaners and later for Edgewater Motel where she met John Denver who serenaded her with a new upcoming hit, Rocky Mountain High. Elizabeth also worked as a surgical aid at North Country Hospital before retiring at the age of 65. After her retirement, she moved to Hawley, MN, where she lived before moving to Sunnyside Care Center in 2016.

Elizabeth displayed a quick wit, she was strong willed, and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. She was a big fan of Elvis and enjoyed game show network, Wheel of Fortune being her favorite show. She loved to sing and dance. She sang for the senior choir in Bemidji, performing for local nursing homes. She also loved to cook. Her potato soup was a family favorite and often requested dish of hers. And most of all, she loved her grandchildren.
