Elizabeth (Betty) Ann Pederson, 99, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Eventide on Eighth Care Center in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Elizabeth was born April 19, 1924, to Frank and Elizabeth (Rieniets) Temple in Fulda, Minnesota. At a very young age, she moved with her parents to Lake Park, Minnesota, where she grew up and received her education. Elizabeth was baptized and confirmed at Lake Park Lutheran Church.
After finishing school, Elizabeth moved to Los Angeles, California, where she worked as an Air Test Inspector for Goodyear Aircraft Factory during World War II. In 1945, she moved back to Minnesota where she settled in Moorhead and met her husband, Oliver (Ollie) Howard Pederson. They were married on November 28, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
After raising their three children, Elizabeth went to work in the hotel industry for Fargo Holiday Inn and the Radisson. Elizabeth loved to stay busy and interact with people. After retiring from the hotel industry, she worked part-time in the deli at Osco Buttrey. Following that she worked as a cashier at K-Mart in south Fargo until she fully retired at the age of 93. She was a dedicated employee who cared deeply about her customers.
In her afterlife, Elizabeth will join Ollie; her parents, Frank and Elizabeth; and siblings, Pauline (Bud) Courneya, Bernice (Bushie) Wahl, Florraine (Flossie) Lee, Bernadette (Bernie) Rudolph, Esther (Essie) Eide, John Temple, Betty Fisk, James (Ole) Temple, Patricia (Pat) Mitchell, and Katherine Johnson.
Elizabeth will be greatly missed by her children, Karen (Hank) Sager, Newport Beach, CA, Keith (Linda) Pederson, Pelican Rapids, MN, and Kim (Carolyn) Pederson, Costa Mesa, CA; her sister Judy (Cliff) Hahn, Yorba Linda, CA; grandchildren, Kathy (Tony) Rojas, Costa Mesa, CA, Judy (Yael) Cosset, Fort Mitchell, KY, Gregory (Peden) Fitzhugh Sager, Long Beach, CA, Nicholas Pederson, Costa Mesa, CA, Matthew Pederson, Costa Mesa, CA, and Oliver (Madeline) Pederson, Little Canada, MN; her great-grandchildren, Maxime Cosset, Arcadia Fitzhugh Sager, and Charles Pederson; the Eide family, and many other loving relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11:00 A.M., at Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, MN.
