Elizabeth M. “Beth” Ogden

Elizabeth Marie Krein Ogden, age 54, passed away peacefully in Detroit Lakes’ Ecument Nursing Home on 29 Mar 2018.  She was born in Fargo, ND on April 18^th, 1963 to Melvin and Beverly (Leroy) Krein.  She was born the oldest of three daughters; was raised in Moorhead, MN and graduated from Moorhead Senior High school in 1981.  In 1982, Beth married Patrick Anderson of Moorhead and they had 2 children together; Ashley Marie and Blake Christian.  In 2005, Beth married the love of her life, Brad Ogden.  They made their home in Wadena, MN, and later moved to Detroit Lakes, MN.

During high school, Beth played the violin in the Moorhead High School Apollo Strings and was a talented pianist.  She was a gifted musician with a perfect ear; and attended Minnesota State University in their music program.  Beth was very artistic and pursued other creative adventures in her adult life to include making jewelry, starting a Himalayan cat stud service, owning a consignment store called Cahoots, and making natural soaps and essential oil products.  She was an exceptional cook and baker and had an eye for interior design.  Beth enjoyed other hobbies such as listening to music and spending time with her family.

Beth was an extremely generous and caring person.  She often provided a listening ear, understanding, guidance, financial support and housing to others.  She touched so many lives, always putting others before herself, even while enduring her own suffering.

Beth is survived by her husband, Bradford Ogden, son Blake (29), 4 step children (Crystal, Brian, Ryan and Kelli), Granddaughter Jaidyn Marie (9), 10 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren, parents Mel and Bev, and sisters Brenda Quick and Bobbi Bengs (Kevin).

Beth was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Marie, and her Grandmother, Elizabeth Leroy.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Saturday, May 26, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
