Elizabeth "Beth" Torgerson

Elizabeth “Beth” M. Torgerson, 69, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Elizabeth May Ritter was born May 1, 1953, in Roseau, MN, to Edward and B. Jeanne (Laughlin) Ritter. She grew up and attended school in Fargo and graduated from Casselton High School. Following high school, she continued her education at NDSU. Beth married Kenneth Torgerson and they lived in Riverside, CA. She moved back to the area in 1993. Over the years, Beth worked at Crystal Sugar, PRACS, Mama K’s Katering and more recently Sanford on Broadway before retiring.

Beth had a love for gardening and had her own greenhouse. Her dogs Snowpea, Willow and Paisley were her pride and joy. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her long-time friends and their weekly dinner outings. She will be remembered for her flare and personality, often referred to as “Sparkles.” 

Beth is survived by her siblings, Bill Ritter and Barbara (Bob) Jessop; nieces and nephews, Rachel (Sven) Martensson, Michelle (Gabe) Crerie, Greg (Brandi) Jessop, Dr. Bradley (Alicia) Ritter, Graeme (Kai) Ritter, Colin (Laura) Ritter; as well as several great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial Service: Thursday, May 4 at 10:00am in the Conference Center of the Comfort Suites Medical Center, 4417 23rd Ave S, Fargo, ND.
