Ellen Olson

Ellen was born November 23, 1909 at Lake Park, Minnesota to Henry and Ingeborg Carlson of Appelbo, Sweden. She grew up in rural Lake Park and attended school there. Ellen was married to Harry Olson in November of 1932. They farmed near Rollag, MN, where they raised their family. Ellen resided at Parkview Terrace in Moorhead for twenty-three years following her husband's death in 1971. She entered Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota in 1999. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Donald & Vincent; five brothers, John, Albert, Emil, Erick & Victor; three sisters, Ann, Emma & Elizabeth; two grandsons, Joey Olson & Larry Olson. Ellen is survived by two sons, Harvey Shirley Olson, Buffalo, MN, and Roland Loretta Olson, Moorhead, MN; two daughters, Gail Marvin Zimmerman, Moorhead, MN, and Beverly Roland Morton, Audubon, MN; seven grandchildren, Mark, Kelly, Kathy, Jason, Mike, Kim & Scott; and several great grandchildren.
