Elline Noben, 73, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at her home in rural Lake Park, Minnesota.Elline Glenda Seydel was born October 4, 1931 in rural Becker County, MN near the village of Dale. She was the ninth of twelve children of Fredrick and Louise Schneider Seydel. Elline was raised on her parents' farm and attended rural school District 41 and had completed seventh grade when the school was closed. She attended school in Hitterdal for one year and then was transferred to Lake Park High School and where she graduated in 1949. After graduation, Elline worked briefly at a Floyd's hamburger shop in Lake Park. In January 1950, she moved to Chicago, Illinois where she was employed at a restaurant, then returned to her family's farm in Minnesota in July 1950. She later served as a dental assistant in the office of Dr. Bentley in Hawley, MN, where she met her husband, Charles Arvid Noben of Lake Park. They were married October 8, 1959, and she moved to the farm site north of Lake Park where Charles was born and raised. Elline was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Audubon where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. She was a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher, choir member, and served on the Ladies Aid. Elline served as president of Lake Park High School Music Mothers and helped in other school related activities. In 1994, Charles and Elline were honored as the Becker County Valley Farmer and Homemaker. Charles and Elline were active in the Country Twirlers Square Dance Club, serving as president and were the first Historians of The Northwest Region Square Dance Federation. Elline enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cooking, playing cards, and reading. She died of cancer under the care of Hospice of The Red River Valley.Elline is survived by her husband, Charles; a daughter, Nancy Konrad Noben-Trauth, Rockville, Maryland; sons, Glenn Noben and Chris Noben, both of Lake Park. Brothers, Wilbert Seydel, Hitterdal, MN; Junior Seydel, Detroit Lakes, MN; Grant Seydel, Hitterdal, MN; Archie Seydel, Detroit Lakes; Eugene Sandy Seydel, Willmar, MN. Sisters: Esther Walter Atkinson, Bemidji, MN and Lyla Paul Olson, Lake Park, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Elroy, sisters, Leona, Sylvia, and Luella.
