Elvira F. Sanchez

Elvira F. Sanchez, 84, of O’Donnell, TX died Sunday, June 1, 2014, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Elvira Fuerte Sanchez was born December 23, 1929, in Wharton, TX, where she grew up and attended school. On June 29, 1954, she married Lee Sanchez Sr., in Houston, TX. Together they lived in O’Donnell, TX, for several years. Lee passed away in April of 1998. Elvira has enjoyed traveling over the past several years to visit her children and many grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Elvira is survived by her children, Steve Serrato from Baird, NE, George Rebecca Jimenez from Seagraves, TX, Fanny Nitchman from Houston, TX, Anna Wondur from Torington, WY, Lilly Trevino from Dilworth, MN, Lee Sanchez III from O’Donnell, TX, Martin Sanchez from Lubbock, TX, Celestina Ruben Salinas from Glyndon, MN, Nora Larry Sanchez from Katy, TX, Bobby Sanchez from O’Donnell, TX, Charles Priscilla Sanchez from Rio Grande City, TX and Tina Aaron Coggins from Dilworth, MN; and 50 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Sanchez Sr.; sons, Joe and Freddy; daughter, Janie; and grandsons, Ricky Serrato, Martin Sanchez Jr., Henry Trevino Jr, and Daniel Trevino.

Funeral services will be held in Lubbock, TX.
