Erhardt Krabbenhoft Jr, 90, Moorhead, MN passed away on December 30, 2022, at River Point Assisted Living Moorhead, MN.

Erhardt Krabbenhoft Jr was born October 30, 1932, at the family home in Page, ND, the youngest son of seven children to Erhardt and Selma (Skogstad) Krabbenhoft. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in Page and Davenport, ND.

After school he continued to work on the family farm.  He served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 as a Strike Hold paratrooper in the 82 Airborne division Fort Bragg, NC.

Erhardt married Charlotte (Rieke) in Horace, ND on November 18, 1961.  They made their homes in West Fargo, ND, Fargo, ND, Moorhead, MN, Felton, MN, Barnesville, MN, and Lake Lizzie, Pelican Rapids, MN.

Erhardt owned several businesses and drove semi for many years.  Businesses include, Southwood Skelly, Fargo, ND, TJs Truck Stop, Glyndon, MN, Big Steer Truck Stop, Mandan, ND, and the Ford Dealership in Barnesville, MN.  He leased his semis to Waggoneers trucking for many years.  He made several trips from Texas to Prudhoe Bay, AK during the construction of the Alaskan Pipeline.  He continued to make trips to Alaska in his truck into his 80’s. He also worked for George E Haggard construction.

He enjoyed spending time at Lake Lizzie, fishing, ice fishing, playing cards, and enjoying a cold beer visiting with family and friends.  He watched and attended several NASCAR races. In his younger days he raced cars. He enjoyed snowmobiling for several years.  He liked to hunt, including trips to Canada to hunt moose and fish.  He also went on a Dall Sheep hunt in Alaska. 

Erhardt will be missed by his family, friends, and the wonderful care givers he had at River Point.  He is survived by his sons, Kevin and wife Tanda, Thomas, Kenneth, and daughter Connie and husband Dale Uden. Grandchildren, Sarah, Dillon, Candice, Garret, and Samantha and 4 great grandchildren.  His sisters Delores, Janice, and Shirley and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte, parents Erhardt and Selma, brothers Donald and Wayne, and Sister Inez.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023, at 11:00 AM with a visitation one hour before the service at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN.
