Erik Anthony Tortorice

Erik Anthony Tortorice, 44, was born on Aug 23, 1975 in Fargo, ND and passed away on July 7, 2020. The beloved son of Anthony and Eileen Tortorice was raised in Moorhead, MN. Erik graduated from Moorhead High School in 1994. He often had his beautiful artwork on display throughout high school. Erik loved running with his “Brentwood Crew”.

On October 13, 2001 he married Melissa Capouch. They were lucky enough to have 3 beautiful children: Anthony Erik (16), Alex David (12), and Talia Claire (9). Erik loved spending time with them at the lake. His famous s’mores and breakfast burritos were always a hit. Some of his favorite pastimes were watching the MN Wild and complaining about the MN Vikings. He traveled many places in his time:  to Colorado, Las Vegas, Bahamas and Florida multiple times. One of his favorite trips was taking his children to Disneyworld. He would tell them about his own childhood experiences with his family at Disneyland.

Erik had a passion for music, movies and playing video games with his boys. He had a very kind, genuine demeanor. His laugh, smile, and wink could light up a room.

Talia was able to get her dad to do absolutely anything for her. She will always be his princess.

Erik was always proud to share the successes of his boy’s hockey and baseball games. He shared his love of music with his kids. He invested his time in drawing with Anthony.

Alex has the same charisma as his dad. They have ways of showing people they love them without many words and a smile that understands.

Erik was currently employed at Dakota Hills Electric out of Kindred, ND. He was enjoying the work he was doing and appreciated his boss.

We are heartbroken over losing Erik, but we know that Anthony, Alex and Talia will carry on his legacy.

Please come and join us in celebrating Erik on Tuesday July 14^th, 2020. Visitation will be held from 4-6pm with service following from 6-7pm at The Sanctuary Event Center in Downtown Fargo, ND. A private burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery on Wednesday July 15^th, 2020.

Erik is survived by his parents, Anthony and Eileen Tortorice, Moorhead, MN; his three children,  Anthony, Alex, and Talia Tortorice, Moorhead, MN;  Melissa Tortorice (Joshua Vorwerk), Moorhead, MN; his aunt & uncle, Carol & Ed Brennesholtz, Thornton, CO; his cousin Misti (Anthony) Brush, Thornton, CO; his cousin Kim Covillo, Broomfield, CO; his aunt Bobbie Lucero (cousins Aaron & Kayla Cody) all Thornton, CO; his aunt Charlene Tortorice, Trinidad, CO; his  cousin Kimberly Tortorie Prince (Ashley), Charleston, SC and his cousin Joey Tortorice, Trinindad, CO;  his aunt Bernadette Dickinson, Trinidad, CO; his cousin Tony Tortorice, Trinidad, CO, and cousin Emily Dickinson, Trinidad, CO.

Erik was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Josephine Tortorice; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Emma Wakley;  both of his uncles,  Joe and Paul Tortorice, and his family by marriage, Ray & June Capouch, uncle Randy Capouch, and cousin Kyle Noble.
