Esther D. Pfau

Esther D. Pfau, 93, of Moorhead, MN, passed away at Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, MN, on August 25, 2013.
Esther was born January 14, 1920 in Sabin, MN, to Herman and Nora Edwards Rehder. She married Jarvis “Jarvy” Steen and was married to him until his death in 1945. She then married Joseph Pfau in 1954. Joseph passed away in February 2005. She was employed for many years as a waitress at Cully’s in Dilworth, the VFW in Moorhead and the Hi-10 in West Fargo.
Esther was a member of Dilworth Lutheran Church and was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion Auxiliaries. She loved playing Bingo, cards and was a true Twins fan. She will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joseph Pfau and Jarvis Steen; sister, Joyce Griffin; and brothers, Donald Rehder, Edgar Rehder and Leonard Rehder.
Esther is survived by her sister, Charlotte Bob Stricker of Brooklyn Park, MN; sisters-in-law, Joyce Rehder of Moorhead, MN, Lola Rehder of Anoka, MN, and Wanda Pfau of Fargo, ND; brother-in-law, Verl Griffin of Brooklyn Center, MN; and many other loving family and dear friends.

Funeral: Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the service.

Interment: Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead, MN.
