Esther L. Kassenborg

Esther was born November 4, 1909, to John and Lettie Syntegaard Grinde. She grew up and attended school near the family farm in rural Kragnes, MN. Esther married Gilbert Kassenborg in December, 1935. Together they made their home and farmed in rural Glyndon, MN, until moving to Moorhead in 1962. Esther worked for a time at Agassiz Nursery and later at Concordia College. Gilbert died in 1979. In 1996, Esther moved into Eventide's Linden Tree and into Eventide Lutheran Home in 2006, where she had most recently lived. Esther was a life-long member of Concordia Lutheran Church in rural Glyndon. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and embroidery. She also enjoyed fishing, traveling and even playing piano in her earlier years. She will be dearly missed. Esther is survived by her son, Gordon Susan Kassenborg of Glyndon, MN; grandchildren, Aron Laura VonBank Kassenborg of Moorhead; Holly Robert Lind Kassenborg and great-granddaughter, Ayla, of Minnetonka, MN.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sisters.
