Ethan M. Knutson

Ethan Marc Knutson was born March 28, 1990 in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Hawley, MN, where he attended school and was employed by Tony’s SuperValue. Ethan graduated from Hawley High School in 2008 and then attended Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead where he earned his degree in diesel mechanics. Ethan completed his internship and was employed by General Equipment and Supplies in Fargo, ND as a service technician. He enjoyed going to work every day and loved all of his coworkers who were like family to him. He was a dedicated employee of GES for 9 years. In 2013, Ethan met Gina Swenson, the love of his life. They lived happily together in Moorhead, MN. Ethan was a deer hunter and a walleye fisherman. He enjoyed listening to different genres of music and attended many concerts. Ethan’s pride and joy was his Mopar; a 1971 Dodge Demon. He loved to hang out with his close group of friends and spend time with family. Ethan died Sunday, October 8th, 2017 after a courageous 2 1/2 year battle with brain cancer. He was 27 years old. Ethan is survived by his father Marc Knutson of Glyndon, Mn; his brother Shawn Tricia Carlson of Naples, FL; his sister Ashlee Knutson Jeremy Drinkwine of Ogema, Mn; his niece Coralynn, and his nephews Owen, Mason, Lincoln, and Carter; his Grandparents Bill and Shirley Wagner of Greenbush, Mn; and the love of his life Gina Swenson of West Fargo, ND. Ethan is preceded in death by his mother, Teri Knutson and his Grandparents, Merle and Ardys Knutson.

In lieu of monetary gifts, the family asks that you donate to Roger Maris Cancer Center in honor of Ethan.

Visitation: Friday, October 13, 2017 from 5-7 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm, at Wright Funeral Home in Hawley, MN.
Funeral: Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2pm at Hawley Lutheran Church.
Interment of ashes: Hawley Cemetery
