Ethel L. Iwen

Ethel Lillian Iwen, 95, of Linden Healthcare Center, Stillwater, MN, formerly of Fargo, ND, died June 2, 2006 at Linden Healthcare Center. Ethel Lillian Oquist was born June 10, 1910 in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Leonard and Anna Carlson Oquist. She grew up in rural Harwood, ND and graduated from Fargo Central High School. After high school, she attended a teacher's college. After graduation, she taught school in several Cass County schools. She was also employed by Armour and by Saint Luke's Hospital in Fargo until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Helen Oquist Short and Margaret Oquist. She is survived by a son, Larry Iwen of Bella Vista, AR, and by 2 grandchildren, Carie Shopbell of NC and Kristi Kurkowski of Roberts, WI, and 2 great-grandchildren, Marcus Green of Roberts, WI and Quinn Shopbell of NC.
