Eugene E. “Gene” Tollagson

Eugene “Gene” Tollagson, 59, of Dilworth, MN, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021, under the care of family and Hospice of the Red River Valley. Gene was born in Wadena, MN, on March 23, 1962, to David and IvaBelle (Berndt) Tollagson. From an early age, Gene grew up in the Dilworth/Glyndon area and later graduated from Dilworth High School. Following high school, Gene began working and over the years enjoyed working as a Master Electrician. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing in his younger years. Gene developed a passion for restoring classic cars and spending much of his free time on the golf course, and traveling to golf tournaments with friends.

Gene is survived by his parents, Iva and David; brothers, Alan (Tracy) and Kevin (Jessica); niece and nephews, Hayli, DJ and Shawn; and thankful for his extended family and many friends. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer and Melva Tollagson, and Ed and Myrtle Berndt.

Memorial gathering will be Friday, May 14, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.

Memorial service will be Saturday, May 15, at 2:00 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead, MN.
