Eunice J. Scheidler

Eunice Moberg Scheidler, age 94, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2004. Eunice Moberg was born October 22, 1910 to John and Clara Lee Moberg in Vergas, MN. She grew up in the Pelican Rapids Area. Eunice graduated from Concordia College in 1931, majoring in Home Economics and from Interstate Business College, Fargo, ND in 1936.Following college, Eunice taught school in Sleepy Eye and other Minnesota communities, and worked at Concordia College in the business office until her retirement. Eunice was united in marriage to Joe Scheidler on January 7, 1967 and they resided in Moorhead. Eunice was active at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moorhead, sang in the Trinity Choir and participated in many other church activities. Eunice's family and friends will remember her always as a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt who was as gracious and gentle in spirit as she was affirmative in her convictions and beliefs. She was an accomplished homemaker, seamstress, Hardanger "artist", flower gardener, and had a special talent for entertaining. She was delightful to be around and was very well read. She was always consistent in her devotion to family, friends and her faith. No matter what the circumstances she remained loving and cheerful. The staff at Eventide, where she resided for the past 5 years, adored her, and tell of countless times where she cared for and mothered other residents and staff in a special and adorable way. She will be deeply missed by family and her many friends. The family is deeply grateful to the dedicated staff of Eventide, and thanks them for exceptional quality of care and for the support to her family. Eunice was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents John and Clara Moberg, brothers Arthur and Willard, and sister Clara Joanne Kroehler. Eunice is survived by her brother James Bud Moberg of Kansas City, MO and Florence Erickson of Moorhead Eventide as well as by ten nieces and nephews, nineteen grandnieces and nephews and eight great great nieces and nephews.
