Evan A. ’Pete’ Peterson

Pete was born September 13, 1924, to Charles and Anna Burns Peterson in Long Prairie, MN, where he grew up and attended school. He served in the U.S. Air Force and after his time in the service, married Donna Allrich. Together they lived in Dilworth before moving to the Glyndon area. For years Pete stayed busy with two jobs. He worked on the railroad with Northern Pacific as well as with Ed Welle Construction. He took pride in his work and later retired from the railroad. Pete enjoyed drinking coffee with friends, buying and selling tractors, and loved his horses. He will be dearly missed.Pete is survived by his son, Rick Deb Peterson of Hawley, MN; grandchildren, Stacy Jason Roshek of Woodland Park, CO, Brock Heidi Peterson of Horace, ND, Tina James Windus of Sabin, MN, Nicole Fugere of Midvale, UT; great-grandchildren, Kolten and Kennedy Peterson, Savannah, Sydney, Samuel and Sasha Roshek, Stephanie, Brooke and Taylor Windus; and sister, Esther Dowd of Santa Barbara, CA.He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; brothers, Royal, Allen and Charles; and sister, Marguerite Abers.
