Evelyn E. Jensen

Evelyn E. Jensen was born October 8, 1926 to Richard and Olive Pick Dwyre of Hawley, MN. She attended country school District #93 and graduated from Hawley High School in 1944. She was a clerk at Peterson Brothers Department Store until her marriage to Joseph Jensen in July 1948. They farmed in Keene Township. In 1973, they moved into Hitterdal, MN. She worked at Jigg's Café and was a clerk at the Hitterdal Post Office. Joseph died in 2002. She was a life time member of Hawley United Methodist Church, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, her parents, Richard and Olive Dwyre, sister, Grace Scoville, daughter Barbara Seidel of East Grand Forks, infant daughter, Linda, and infant granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Jensen. She is survived by her children Bruce Linda Jensen of Lisbon,ND, Susan Warren Dunham, Roger Jane Jensen, and Gary Patty Jensen, all of Hawley, MN; twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one on the way; and one sister, Myrtle Ludemann of Moorhead, MN.
