Evelyn N. Wold

Evelyn N. Wold, 79, Moorhead, MN, passed away February 24, 2016 surrounded by family at Lilac Homes.
Evelyn Norma Rice was born November 9, 1936 in Roseau, MN to Oliver and Inga Thingelstad Rice. She grew up in Pinecreek, MN and attended school in Roseau, MN.
On July 17, 1954 Evelyn was united in marriage to Dale Wold. In 1966 they moved to Crookston, MN where they raised their four children. In 1985 they moved to Moorhead, MN.
Evelyn loved her family and loved having her grandchildren spend time with her. She was active with the YMCA for water aerobics. She loved visiting with her friends and family. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching and gardening. Evelyn is survived by her husband Dale Wold, Moorhead, MN; four children Scott Wold, Moorhead, MN, Cheryl Baldwin, Wake Forest, NC, Tim Wold, Bemidji, MN, Sondra Wold Morrow, Moorhead, MN; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Delphine, Larraine, Kathlene and Margie; and one brother Dwight.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Inga; sister Irene and two brothers Roy and Stanley.
Evelyn’s family would like to give a special thanks to Gina and Bill and the employees at Lilac Homes, as well as Hospice of the Red River Valley for taking such wonderful care of Evelyn.
Funeral: Friday, February 26, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
