Faye Blilie, 89, Moorhead, MN, died on Monday, August 24, 2020, in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Faye Jeannette Blouin was born on September 26, 1930, at DeLamere, ND, to James and Hazel (Henjum) Blouin. She graduated from DeLamere High School and then attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Fargo.
Faye married Floyd Blilie on August 31, 1953, at Battle Lake, MN, and they farmed near Comstock, MN. She worked at Fargo Clinic Pediatrics and Clay County Public Health.
She was active in the Comstock Lutheran WELCA, serving as an officer, quilting, and Lydia Circle. She was an avid reader, enjoyed embroidering dish towels, and had a collection of cookie jars. She loved to go out to lunch with several special friends and she never forgot a birthday.
Faye is survived by her husband, Floyd; sons Scott (Ruth) Blilie, Moorhead, and Todd (Jane) Blilie, Moorhead; brothers Jim (Marlene) Blouin, Albert Lea, MN, and Larry (Debbie) Blouin, Sioux Falls, SD; sisters Gaye Phallon, MT, and Camille (Ken) Bisgrove, Omaha, NE; the four grandchildren and five great grandchildren are Scott and Ruth’s son Dannie (Ashley) and their children Connor and Reagan; Todd and Jane’s sons Tony, Jay (and his daughter Adlie), daughter Olivia (Chris) VandeVelde (and their children Levin and Larkin); and sisters-in-law Dorothy and Carol Blouin and many other family and friends.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Nicole; and brothers Joen and Marvin.
The memorial service will be private, with a livestream of the service beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 28, 2020, on her obituary page at Wright Funeral Home’s website.
Interment will be at the Comstock Cemetery.
