Fern J. Ringstad

Fern J. Ringstad, 79, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Farmstead Care, Moorhead, MN. Fern was born June 7, 1939, in Stephen, MN, to Floyd and Rose Ann (Bolduc) Rynerson. She grew up in Stephen and Audubon, MN, before moving to Moorhead, where she graduated from high school. On November 23, 1957, Fern married Bob Ringstad. Together they made their home in Moorhead and started a family. Over the years, she worked at Moorhead Public Schools and later in the food service industry. After retirement, she enjoyed her time at their lake cabin, spending time outdoors and gardening. But most of all she loved her time with family. She took pride in being a good mother, grandmother and great grandmother and cherished the times they were all together. She will be dearly missed.

Fern is survived by her husband, Bob; children, Sherry (Kevin) Koehler of Fargo, ND, Ron (Melanie) Ringstad of Savage, MN, Sue Pinkney of Reno, NV; grandchildren, Kristi (Tom) Ebert, Ryan (Fiancée Geneviv Sanders) Koehler, Kyle Ringstad, Rachel Ringstad, Sara (Laquone) Robinson, Anna Pinkney; great-granddaughter, Camryn Ebert; sister, Ruth (Merlyn) Albertson; as well as her nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Mary Ann (Leo) Osowski.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 4, from 5 – 7 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Wright Funeral Home, 605 2^nd Avenue South Moorhead, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, June 5, at 11 a.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 218 10^th Street South Moorhead, MN followed by light lunch.

Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
