Florence O. Anderson

Florence O. Anderson, 97, of Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, November 26, 2014, in Eventide Senior Living Community, Moorhead. Florence was born January 4, 1917, in Tansem Township, Clay County, MN, to Thomas and Anna Nergaard Neirby. She attended school and later graduated from Hitterdal High School. She married Norris Anderson and together they made their home in Hawley. Florence worked as a National Certified Board Registered Dental Assistant for 26 years and was an active member of the community until moving to Moorhead in 1992. She enjoyed traveling and on several occasions visited Norway, Germany and Madagascar. Her hobbies were sewing, gardening and music. She was a member of Hawley Lutheran Church, Trinity Lutheran Church, Sons of Norway, Volksmarsch and enjoyed her time at Eventide Senior Living in Moorhead, where she had most recently resided. She will be dearly missed.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Avis Gene Hoagland of Hawley, MN, Blanche Curfman of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Siri Michael Anhorn of Moorhead, MN, Mark Hoagland of St. Cloud, MN, Maren John Jorgensen of Fargo, ND; great-grandchildren, Keisha and Rylee Krabbenhoft, and Chancellor and Daylan Jorgensen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, and son-in-law, David Curfman.

Visitations will be from 2 – 3 p.m., Monday, December 1, in Bottolfson Chapel, Eventide Senior Living, Moorhead, and will continue from 5 -7 p.m., with prayer service at 7 p.m., in Wright Funeral Home, Moorhead.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
